Des Plaines, Il 60016 60018 – Concrete – Before

This is a concrete patio project that we completed in the Des Plaines area. We see that the concrete on this rear patio has seen extensive wear and damage. There are several thick cracks running in multiple directions and minor repair work has been unable to stop the continually deteriorating condition of this concrete area. The concrete is also uneven and buckling and in order to repair this area it will be necessary to remove all of the old concrete and pour a completely new patio. We will begin by breaking up the existing concrete, removing all debris, and then evening out the underlying area in order to install new concrete in this Des Plaines area home.

This is the completed Des Plaines concrete patio project. After removing all of the previous concrete debris we installed wooden framing, gravel, and wire mesh before finally pouring new concrete. As the new concrete was drying we smoothed, shaped, and cut it so that it would end up in the proper shape upon completion. Looking at the photo above we see that the new concrete is smooth and even and cut into smaller pieces which will prevent cracks in the future and make it easy to repair any isolated areas. This new concrete patio is in great shape and looks clean and inviting and will serve as a great feature in the backyard of this Des Plaines area home for many years to come.
